So...I know I failed with having service and remembering to post on here so I'm sorry! Here's an update on what happened. We finished at DCI finals with a 73.06 in 7th place and we beat some tough corps and we were in the top 29 corps at world championships! Performing in Lucas Oil was the best experience of my life! I really miss my corps and I am super excited for auditions for the 2015 season which are in 37 days! This summer will be the 10th anniversary of Legends and shh, there are some surpises coming that I can not wait to share with you! Thats all for now! Sorry it has been a month since I have posted! Life has been super crazy and I haven't had wifi or good cell service. We finished our world class tour last week and we had our first open class show last night. We are at a score of 72.6 and we are 3rd in open class. The show is really coming together and I am really excited! We also went to Niagara Falls for a free day on Thursday.

 For the next few days we are in Allentown, Pa rehearsing and getting better. We are in the final 3 week stretch which makes me sad, but I am kind of ready to come home to my family and my bed. This experience has been amazing and I will never forget it! I hope to see you all soon in Avon Lake on August 2nd. If you still need tickets for this show please visit DCI.org to purchase them!

June 20 

Its been a little while since I have posted, but life has been hectic. We started drill on monday, had ensemble rehearsal on tuesday, had laundry day on wednesday, did a full run of the closer with drill on thursday, and today did a full run of our ballad. I am soo excited! We have our first show tomorrow and we move to a new housing site! I can hardly sleep! Our corps director also gave us a talk about what drum corps is and why we are here and it really pumped us up. Thats when I finally realized I am here, I am living my dream! This is what I have always wanted to do! 

June 10 

Today was really rough for me. My ankles and feet were really flaring up and I am struggling with the fact that my mom is leaving tomorrow. Its really a situation I kinda threw myself into, I went from finals to packing to this. I will fight through it and keep my eyes on the prizs. 

June 9

Rehearsal today was a little rough on my knees ankles and feet. We had visual rehearsal and music rehearsal. I just keep telling myself "I am a Legend" and push through. Hopefully I will survive tomorrow!

Well guys today was move ins and I can't say I wasn't and am not nervous. This week is going to be very rough and hopefully my body will not give up on me this summer. I already am starting to suffer with ankle, foot, hip and knee problems, but I am doing my best to work through them and stay in rehearsal and kick butt. Tonight we had a meet and greet/ mini visual block. I am looking forward to tomorrow and I want to thank you guys for all of your support! You guys are the best! Today I moved out of my house for the summer and I am in Michigan! We were helping fry food at a fundraiser for the corps and it was actually kind of fun! It is really late so I should get to bed, but I wanted to update and say that tomorrow is move ins!

Hey everyone! It is Tuesday May 13th and tour still has not started yet. We are down to one more camp until move-ins and I am soo excited for my rookie year of  drum corps. I ordered my member jacket over the weekend and I finally have my new shoes and I am stocking up on supplies. We have about two and a half weeks of school left and move-ins are getting closer every day! We also got all of our music for the show at last camp! I will be updating my blog more and hopefully posting a calendar and a list of  mail stops along tour this summer. I have to go for now, but I hope to see you all at one of my shows! One last thing! Hello everyone! Well this is my first post and I am so psyched to share my journey with you all! It is currently Sunday April 13th 2014 and tour has not started yet, we actually have two more rehearsal camps before move ins on June 8th. I am marching this summer with Legends a newer corp out of Kalamazoo, Michigan. I wanted to start posting on my blog now because, well this is all part of the experience. Even though tour has not started I am still practicing between school band, Cleveland Youth Wind Symphony and every other musical group that I am involved in. Its really kind of ridiculous, most of the time when my friends ask to hang out or when I try to come up with two weeks that I don't have a performance or an important rehearsal that I could get my wisdom teeth taken out, I respond with sorry I have band! I love what I do and I really wish that I could go into music as a major, but there's no way I would be ever able to watch the music programs fall apart due to lack of funding and appreciation for the arts. Sorry this blog post is so short, but I will get a better post when I get back from our april camp on the weekend of the 24th.
